Here's a summary of the action that took place at Snohomish County Fire District One in the past week.

Straight from Snohomish County Fire District 1, we've got a list of the top incidents of the past week. Their summary is below:

Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 334 calls the week of Feb. 24-March 3: 261 emergency medical aid calls, 17 motor vehicle collisions, 24 fires, 10 service calls, 21 automatic fire alarms and one natural gas leak.

DECK FIRE. At 10:46 a.m., firefighters responded to a fire on the deck of a split-entry home in the 7200 block of 226th Pl. SW in Mountlake Terrace. No one was injured. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire that was started when flames from a barbecue spread to a free-standing, vinyl gazebo. The fire was contained to the deck and did not spread to the house. Damage is estimated at $7,000.

BEDROOM FIRE. At 2:32 a.m., a smoke alarm sounded and alerted a family to a fire in their home in the 14600 block of 32nd Pl. W north of Lynnwood. All occupants safely exited the home. Firefighters extinguished a smoldering mattress in a bedroom. It appeared the fire was started by a reading lamp that came in contact with bedding. Damage was limited to the mattress, bedding and smoke stains on the bedroom wall. Firefighters treated a woman at the scene for minor smoke inhalation.

COLLISION. At 9:42 a.m., firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds after responding to a two-car collision at 216th St. SW and Highway 99 in Edmonds.

COLLISION. At 9:31 p.m., firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Mill Creek after responding to a two-car collision at 128th St. SE and I-5 south of Everett.

March 1

CAR FIRE. At 10:45 a.m., firefighters extinguished a car fire at 233rd St. SW and 84th Ave. W in Edmonds.

March 2

WIND KNOCKS DOWN WIRES, TREES. From 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., firefighters responded to 10 calls related to high winds blowing branches into power lines and knocking down trees. Most calls were in the Edmonds area. At 9:47 a.m., a large tree fell across the road and took out a transformer in the 20600 block of 78th Pl. W. in Edmonds. Another tree fell at 10:23 a.m. and blocked Beverly Park Road between Pacific Place and 132nd St. SW north of Lynnwood. At 12:08 p.m., a tree fell on a house in the 3400 block of Russet Road in Brier. No one was injured.
