Thief Leaves Subway With Cash—And His Sandwich

Incident occurred just south of 168th St. SW on SR 99. Suspect

Lynnwood Police Detectives need the public’s help in identifying a man who robbed a Subway store in the 16900 block of Highway 99 in Lynnwood on Sunday, Oct. 21.

No one was hurt after the suspect entered the store during the busy lunchtime hour and ordered a sandwich. When it was time to pay, he instead told the clerk he was armed and wanted money.

The clerk gave the suspect money, and he left the store with the cash and his sandwich.

While there were other customers in the store at the time of the robbery, no one seemed to notice a crime was being committed.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s. He is about 5’8” with a medium build. He was wearing large-framed sunglasses, a bright orange beanie under his dark-colored hoodie and jeans.
