Take Back Your Prescription Drugs Saturday in Edmonds

Spring clean those medicine cabinets and safely dispose of unwanted, unused, and expired medications.

Editor's note: Clarification: Please note that Bartell's in Edmonds will not be collecting N controlled substances at tomorrow's event. The only Bartell that will do so tomorrow is at Lake Stevens, according to Snohomish County Health.

Spring cleaning your medicine cabinets protects the environment, and also helps keep kids safe from accidental overdose. Unintentional poisonings are at a record high in Snohomish County according to information provided by the Snohomish Health District.

This Saturday, April 27, the Edmonds Police Department is participating along with other Snohomish County Police Agencies in National Drug Take-back Day.

To help protect the public’s safety and health, area law enforcement agencies and Bartell Drug, at 23028 100th Ave. W, will participate in National Drug Take-back day, Saturday, April 27 at sites through-out Snohomish County. 

The sites accept unused, expired and unwanted prescription drugs, including narcotic painkillers and other medications.  The Edmonds location will be at the Edmonds Police Department from 10AM to 2PM at 250 5th Ave N Edmonds, WA 98020.

Can't make it to the event? Edmonds Police accepts unused medications for disposal every day, and has a collection box in the lobby of the police station.
