Picture Released of Suspect in Killing of Shorecrest High School Student

An arrest warrant has been issued for Joseph D. Cooley, who has been charged with murder and attempted murder.

An arrest warrant has been issued charging Joseph D. Cooley with murder and attempted murder for the early Wednesday in Shoreline.

Cooley is 20 years old. He is 5-feet, 2-inches tall and weighs about 110 pounds. He is believed to be armed. 

As a result of the Sheriff’s Office investigation, the Prosecutor’s Office has filed murder and attempted murder charges related to this homicide, the death of Tiana Montgomery.

While detectives continue to search for Cooley, they remind the public that this shooting was not a random act and it doesn’t appear to be gang related. 

If anybody has seen Cooley since the murder, they should call 911 immediately.

Montgomery was a senior at Shorecrest High School and a Running Start student at Shoreline Community College.

Edwards is a senior at Shorewood High School. He is still at Harborview Medical Center recovering from his injuries.
