Sheriff Taps Edmonds Man for Corrections Chief At Snohomish County Jail

Snohomish County Sheriff Ty Trenary is changing the guard at Snohomish County Jail, appointing an Edmonds resident to serve as Corrections Bureau Chief.

Jeff Miller is a 30 year veteran of the Sheriff’s Office. As Corrections Bureau Chief, Miller is now responsible for overseeing the booking, custody and release of inmates at the jail, which is located in Everett. He will also oversee the support services divisions including the transportation, medical services, and classification of inmates, as well as training, records and administration.

National corrections experts plan to visit the jail later this year in part because of a series of inmate deaths, according to the Everett Herald.
