Pharmacy Robbery in Edmonds

Neighboring Edmonds-Woodway High School under brief lockdown

Edmonds Police arrested two robbery suspects after Edmonds Pharmacy was hit for the fifth time in less than three months.

Edmonds Police arrived at the pharmacy, which is in the 7600 block of 212th St. SW, at 9:15 am today. They apprehended two suspects and their getaway vehicle a short distance away and took both individuals into custody.

Police believe the pair, a 32-year-old male resident of Everett and a 36-year-old female resident of Everett, were responsible for all prior robberies. Those four robberies took place on Nov. 30, Dec. 23, Dec. 31, and Jan. 24.

In each incident, the male suspect wore a hoodie sweatshirt covering his head, a surgical mask, and rubber gloves. Each time, the suspect passed a pharmacy employee a handwritten note demanding narcotics.

In the robbery this morning, the male suspect left the scene on foot after having been given a quantity of Oxycodone and Morphine. Edmonds Police Department's Detective Unit received information regarding the getaway vehicle -- driven by the female suspect -- and the likely escape route.

An Edmonds Police Detective located the two suspects in the parking lot of the Mountlake Terrace Premera Blue Cross complex, which is in the 7000 block of 220th St. SW.
