Pedestrian Struck by a Car – Snohomish County Fire District 1 Fire Calls

Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 372 calls the week of May 30-June 5: 310 emergency medical aid calls, 22 motor vehicle collisions, 13 fires, 10 service calls, 2 natural gas leaks and 15 automatic fire alarms.

COLLISION:  At 1:20 p.m., three vehicles were involved in a collision at 220th Street SW and 9th Avenue South in Edmonds.  Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

COLLISION:  At 3:09 p.m., firefighters responded to a two-car collision in the 12700 block of Alexander Road south of Everett.  Three patients were transported by private ambulances to area hospitals.

COLLISION:  At 3:26 p.m., a two-car collision blocked the intersection at 216th Street SW and Highway 99 in Edmonds. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

June 1

COLLISION:  At 3:05 p.m., a pedestrian was struck by a car in the 7300 block of 228th Street SW in Mountlake Terrace near the Interurban Trail. Firefighters transported the patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital. The vehicle involved sustained significant windshield damage.

COLLISION:  At 4:10 p.m., a two-car collision was reported on northbound I-5 south of 128th Street SW south of Everett. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Mill Creek Emergency Room. 

FIRE:  At 7:55 p.m., a clothes dryer caught fire at a home in the 4110 block of 214th Street SW in Mountlake Terrace.  The fire was contained to the dryer.  No injuries were reported.

June 2

COLLISION:  At 7:13 p.m., a motorcycle collided with a parked car at 230th Street SW and 54th Avenue West in Mountlake Terrace. Firefighters transported the injured rider to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

June 4

COLLISION:  At 6:12 a.m., two cars collided and one crashed into a building at 220th Street SW and Highway 99 in Edmonds.  Two persons were injured and both were transported by firefighters to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

COLLISION:  At 10:42 a.m., two cars collided at Highway 99 and Lincoln Way south of Everett. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

June 5

COLLISION:  At 2:45 p.m., a car overturned and crashed into a ditch on southbound I-5 north of 164th Street SW north of Lynnwood.  Firefighters transported the injured driver to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital. 

CAR FIRE:  At 7:16 p.m., firefighters extinguished a car fire on northbound I-5 south of 128th Street SW in Everett. No one was injured.

COLLISION:  At 6:54 p.m., a rollover collision was reported at the intersection of 198th Street SW and 80th Avenue West in Edmonds.  Firefighters transported one patient to Harborview Medical Center.

Fire District 1 is the largest provider of fire and emergency medical services in Snohomish County, with full-time staffing at 12 fire stations. The department serves nearly 200,000 residents in unincorporated south Snohomish County, Brier, Edmonds, Mountlake Terrace and Woodway.
