Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck By Car in Lynnwood

32-year-old was not using crosswalk.

A pedestrian struck by a car in Lynnwood on Saturday night was pronounced dead at the scene.

At about 8:50 p.m., Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a vehicle-pedestrian accident in the 1300 block of 164th Street Southwest.

According to Sheriff's Office spokesman Kevin L. Prentiss, a 32-year-old man wearing dark clothing was crossing on foot 164th when struck by a 1992 Acura Integra traveling eastbound.

The Sheriff’s Office Collision Investigation Unit responded to handle the investigation. Preliminary information indicates the victim was not crossing the roadway in a marked crosswalk or intersection.

Identification of the victim and cause of death will be determined and provided by the Medical Examiner’s Office.
