Lynnwood Police Seek Suspects in Soccer Coach Assault

Lynnwood Police are asking for the public's help in identifying two teens who assaulted a soccer coach after school hours on Feb. 6 outside of Meadowdale High School in Lynnwood.

Lynnwood Police are looking for two teens they say assaulted a soccer coach on Wednesday, Feb. 6, before an after-school soccer practice outside of Meadowdale High School in Lynnwood. A third teen was with the group but did not participate in the physical assault.

The victim, a 53-year-old Seattle man and soccer coach (of a non-school district team) was at the school with his teenage daughter waiting for other team members when three boys, unknown to the coach and his daughter, walked by and made crude comments to the coach about his daughter.

Two of three boys assaulted the coach, the daughter was unharmed. All three suspects fled the area on foot.

Other team members arrived and they called 911. The coach suffered multiple bruises and abrasions on his face, but declined medical attention.

The main suspect is described as a white male, about 15 to 17-years of age. He has shaggy blonde hair and is about 5’10” tall and weighing about 160 pounds.

The second male was about the same age- darker skin with angular features, short hair and was quiet.
