Residential Burglary Prompts Lockdown at 3 Local Schools; Suspect Escapes
Edmonds Police say male suspect he is not a threat.

A one-hour lockdown on Thursday of Edmonds-Woodway High School, College Place Middle School and College Place Elementary School was taken at the request of the Edmonds Police Department as officers searched for a suspect connected with a nearby residential burglary.
After the lockdown was lifted, students were able to leave their respective schools at their regular times.

The incident began at 12:30 p.m. During the course of their search around the exterior of the school, police officers also entered the school, and students remained in their classrooms.
According to the school district, the police were unable to locate the suspect.

Edmonds Police Sgt. Don Anderson emphasized that the suspect is not an imminent threat, but no further information was given.
