Key Bank in Edmonds Robbed, Suspect at Large, Police Say

Update 7:10 p.m. Wednesday: Edmonds Police Detectives have developed a suspect description for the Key Bank Robbery. The suspect is described as a white male, about 60 years old, 5’ 11’ in height, slender build with grey hair. He was wearing a white T-shirt, navy blue shorts, white socks and athletic shoes, carrying a small backpack, green or blue with tan straps. 

Anyone with information is asked to call the Edmonds Police Department Tip Line at 425-771-0212. 

The investigation is continuing with no additional information at this time.

A white male walked into the Key Bank in Edmonds Wednesday afternoon and handed a bank employee a note demanding cash and warning that he was armed, Edmonds Police say.

At 4:44 p.m.,  an unknown male entered a Key Bank located at 9930 Edmonds Way, in the Westgate area of Edmonds. The bank employee handed over an undetermined amount of cash to the suspect who then left the bank on foot.  

A K9 unit from Lynnwood PD came to assist and attempt to track the suspect.  The K9 track ended shortly afterwards indicating the suspect was no longer in the area.  Edmonds Police detectives were still at the scene Wednesday evening, with the suspect still at large. 

The only description of the suspect so far is a white male.
