Hit-And-Run Fatality Near Value Village; Public's Help Is Sought
A male pedestrian died after being hit on Highway 99 in Lynnwood.
The Lynnwood police department is investigating a fatal hit-and-run after an adult male pedestrian was hit by a vehicle just after 10:30 p.m. on Thursday while crossing the street in the 17200 block of Highway 99 in Lynnwood.
It occurred near Value Village north of 176 Street SW.
Witnesses reported that the driver hit the man while driving southbound on Highway 99. The driver then did a U-turn and took off going northbound, said Lynnwood police spokesperson Shannon Sessions.

Police need the public’s help in finding what appears to be a silver colored Lexus with significant front-end damage, including a broken windshield.
The man was transported to Harborview Medical Center with critical injuries. He died at the hospital.

All lanes of Highway 99, from 168th Street SW to 176 Street SW, were closed for more than three hours during the investigation.
