There is a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and criminal conviction of the persons responsible for the fire that destroyed a house in south Snohomish County.

A fire that destroyed a house in the Alderwood Manor area of south Snohomish County last week is being investigated as arson, fire officials said.

About half a dozen people were able to safely escape as flames engulfed the two-story house in the 1800 block of 204th Pl. SW in an unincorporated area east of Lynnwood around 2:15 a.m. on Sept. 18. The fire caused more than $250,000 damage, according to Snohomish County Fire District 1 officials.

The Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s Office is heading up the arson investigation.  Investigators believe this fire was an isolated incident and ask anyone with information that may help in the investigation to call 1-800-55-ARSON. There is a reward of up to $10,000 from the Arson Alarm Foundation for information leading to the arrest and criminal conviction of the persons responsible for the fire.
