Fire Department Responses: Three-Car Collision at 220th and Ninth

Snohomish County Fire District One makes 328 calls the week of Oct. 6-12.

Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 328 calls the week of Oct. 6-12: 253 emergency medical aid calls, 34 motor vehicle collisions, 19 fires, five natural gas leaks, one hazardous materials response and 16 automatic fire alarms.

Oct. 9

COLLISION:  At 8:17 a.m., a rollover collision was reported on the exit from southbound I-5 to southbound I-405. Firefighters transported the driver to Evergreen Hospital.

BRUSH FIRE:  At 5:25 p.m., firefighters extinguished a 30-foot-by-30-foot brush fire at 164th Street SW and 36th Avenue W north of Lynnwood.

COLLISION:  At 4:59 p.m., two vehicles collided at 40th Avenue W and Highway 99 north of Lynnwood. Firefighters transported three patients to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

COLLISION:  At 6:15 p.m., a two-car collision was reported in the Jiffy Lube parking lot at 164th Street SW and Sixth Avenue W east of Lynnwood. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

COLLISION:  At 6:20 p.m., a car hit a parked semi-truck on southbound I-5 north of I-405. The driver of the car was out of the vehicle when firefighters arrived. He was transported by medic unit to Harborview Medical Center.  It took firefighters 45 minutes to cut through the wreckage to free a passenger trapped in the car. He suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken by medics to Harborview Medical Center.

Oct. 11

COLLISION:   At 3:41 p.m., three vehicles collided at 220th Street SW and Ninth Avenue S in Edmonds. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

COLLISION:  At 5:22 p.m., a collision was reported on southbound I-5 north of the I-405 interchange. Firefighters transported one patient to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett for treatment.

Oct. 12

COLLISION:  At 9:56 a.m., a car backed into a pedestrian at the Manor Market in the 3600 block of 164th Street SW north of Lynnwood.  Firefighters transported the pedestrian to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

FIRE: At 12:27 p.m., firefighters extinguished a fire in an abandoned house in the 12500 block of Admiralty Way south of Everett.
