Fire Department Responses: Chimney Fire, Tree Falls on House

Snohomish County Fire District One makes 320 calls the week of Oct. 20-26.

Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 413 calls the week of Nov. 17-23: 303 emergency medical aid calls, 21 fires, 40 motor vehicle collisions, 22 service calls, 23 automatic fire alarms and four natural gas leaks.

Nov. 17

COLLISION. At 6:39 p.m., firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Mill Creek Emergency Room after responding to a two-car collision in the 1000 block of 164th St. SW east of Lynnwood.Β

COLLISION. At 9:51 p.m., firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital after responding to a two-car collision at 148th St. SW and SR 525 north of Lynnwood.

CHIMNEY FIRE. At 12:59 a.m., firefighters responded to a chimney fire at a home in the 17900 block of 74th Ave. W in Edmonds. The family members safely exited their home as it began to fill with smoke. The fire did not extend beyond the chimney.

Nov. 19

COLLISION. At 11:57 a.m., firefighters transported two patients to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital after responding to a two-car collision on northbound I-5 south of 196th St. SW.

COLLISION. At 4:36 p.m. one car rolled over twice and came to rest in a ditch at 10th Pl. W and Filbert Road east of Lynnwood. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

COLLISION. At 6:10 p.m., firefighters responded to a three-car hit-and-run collision at 212th St. SW and Highway 99 in Edmonds. One patient was transported to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

COLLISION. At 8:34 p.m., firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital after responding to a car that crashed into a ditch at 177th Pl SW and Alder Way north of Lynnwood.

Nov. 20

COLLISION. At 1:49 p.m., firefighters responded to a car that crashed into a pole at 236th St. SW and Cedar Way S in Mountlake Terrace. One patient was taken by ambulance to Swedish/First Hill Hospital.

COLLISION. At 5:22 p.m., firefighters took one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital after responding to a van that crashed into the bushes on the east side of I-5 near 220th St. SW.

COLLISION. At 8:09 p.m., a car and a motorcycle collided at 220th St. SW and Highway 99 in Edmonds. Firefighters transported the motorcyclist to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

Nov. 21

COLLISION. At 5:08 p.m., firefighters responded to a three-vehicle collision at 224th St. SW and Highway 99 in Edmonds. One patient was transported by medic unit to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital. Another patient was transported by ambulance to Northwest Hospital.

Nov. 22

COLLISION. At 2:27 a.m., firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital after responding to a one-car collision in the 13600 block of Highway 99 north of the Lynnwood.

TREE ON HOUSE. At 3:18 p.m., a tree fell on a house in the 6200 block of 143rd St. SW north of Edmonds. The branches pierced the roof and damaged the eaves and gutters. No one was injured. Firefighters were unable to tarp the roof due to the high winds and slippery shake roof.

Nov. 23

COLLISION. At 4:08 p.m., firefighters took one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital after responding to a two-car collision at 5th Ave S and Elm Way.
