Fire Department Responses: 2 Collisions on One Day on Icy Edmonds Streets

Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 355 calls the week of March 15-22: 287 emergency medical aid calls, 32 motor vehicle collisions, 8 fires, 12 service calls, 2 natural gas leaks and 14 automatic fire alarms

March 15

COLLISION: At 2:01 a.m., a car crashed into trees at the corner of 204th Street SW and Cypress Way east of Lynnwood. Firefighters freed the occupants from the wreckage and transported two patients with serious injuries to Harborview Medical Center.

COLLISION: At 7:55 a.m., a car hit the wall of the underpass of the 164th Street SW on-ramp to northbound I-5. Firefighters transported the injured driver to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

COLLISION:Β  t 7:53 p.m., a car struck a tree in the 12400 block of Gibson Road south of Everett. Firefighters transported one patient with minor injuries to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

March 18

COLLISION: At 8:23 p.m., firefighters responded to two collisions on icy roads in Edmonds. Firefighters responding to a collision on SR 104 north of Pine Street came across a collision at Edmonds Way and 100th Avenue W. No one was injured in the collision at 100th Avenue W. Two cars were heavily damaged in the collision north of Pine Street. Firefighters transported two patients to Harborview Medical Center and one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

COLLISION: At 9:44 p.m., a three-car collision was reported on northbound I-5 north of 128th Street SW.Β  Firefighters transported one patient with minor injuries to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

March 19

COLLISION: At 6:04 a.m., two collisions occurred within a short stretch of northbound I-5 south of 128th Street SW. The first collision involved two cars and firefighters transported one patient with minor injuries to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital. The second collision involved three cars. Firefighters treated the occupants at the scene.

COLLISION: At 4:57 p.m., a one-car collision was reported at 164th Street SW and 2nd Place W west of Mill Creek. Firefighters transported one patient with minor injuries to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

COLLISION: At 7:37 p.m., two vehicles were involved in a low-speed, rear-end collision at 164th Street SW and Larch Way west of Mill Creek. Firefighters transported two patients with minor injuries to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

COLLISION: At 7:58 p.m., firefighters transported one patient to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett after responding to a T-bone collision in the 500 block of 128th Street SW south of Everett.

March 20

COLLISION: At 4:03 p.m., a hit-and-run collision was reported at 132nd Street SE and Seattle Hill Road north of Mill Creek. Firefighters transported one patient with minor injuries to Swedish/Mill Creek Emergency Room.

March 21

COLLISION: At 6:13 a.m., a pedestrian was struck by a hit-and-run vehicle in the 3700 block of 204th Street SW east of Lynnwood. He was transported by medics to Harborview Medical Center.
