Fire At Edmonds Home

Residents escaped unharmed, but the blaze caused $20,000 in damage.

Residents of an Edmonds home escaped unharmed after a fire broke out this morning.

Three siblings, ages 18, 7, and 9, were at the house when the blaze began. At 8:30 a.m., they smelled smoke, left the house, and called the fire department. Their parents were at work at the time.

Fire crew responded to their call and arrived at the two-story house on the 22000 block of 96th Ave W. The fire fighters saw smoke emerging from a second story bedroom window, quickly entered the room, and extinguished a smoldering mattress.
