Fatal Stabbing in Lynwood, Police Investigating

Lynnwood Police have arrested a suspect in the stabbing death of a 33-year-old Lynnwood man.

A 33-year-old Lynnwood man was fatally stabbed early this morning, according to Lynnwood police.

Police were called to an assault with a weapon incident just after midnight, Aug. 8 in the 5400 block of 204th St. SW in Lynnwood. 

Witnesses say the suspect, a 35-year-old Snohomish County-area man, stabbed the victim in a house and fled the area on a bicycle. Police cordoned off the area and located and arrested the suspect about 12 blocks away from the murder scene. He has been booked into jail for investigation of homicide.

Detectives are interviewing witnesses who were in the house at the time of the crime. The victim and the suspect didn’t live in the home where the crime was committed, police said. While the two were known to each other, the nature of why they were having a disagreement is still under investigation.
