Edmonds Stabbing Remains a Mystery

Police received another stabbing report Wednesday, but there have not been any connections established between the two cases. The man attacked Monday remains hospitalized.

Edmonds Police have as yet been unable to determine who or even where the crime took place.

Sgt. Mark Marsh said that the man, hospitalized at Harborview Medical Center since he was seen bloodied and walking down an Edmonds street, has not been able to talk to police about what happened.

In the absence of his account, Marsh said police have no idea where the stabbling occurred, but they do not suspect it was a random act of violence.

"I would be shocked if it was random," Marsh said, but until they can talk to the man, they have no leads in the case.

Wednesday afternoon, police were talking to a 29-year-old man at Swedish Medical Center who had apparently been stabbed and was getting stitches, but there is currently no information to indicate whether the two incidents were related, he said.
