Edmonds Police Track, Capture Suspected Gang Member

The incident Thursday night started in Lynnwood, then moved into the Perinnville area when the suspect tried to flee and crashed a car.

Edmonds and Lynnwood police arrested a suspected gang member Thursday night after an alert Meadowdale home owner saw him jump off his roof and called police.

The incident started at around 5:30 p.m. when Seattle Police had officers in the Lynnwood area trying to arrest a suspected gang member with an extensive criminal history, said Edmonds Police Sgt. Mark Marsh.

The suspect fled in a car and then crashed in the 7200 block of 175th St. SW, in the Perrinville area of Edmonds. Edmonds and Lynnwood patrol officers and K9 units searched for several hours and finally found the suspect just before 10 p.m. when the home owner who saw him alerted police.

The suspect was arrested in the 6900 block of Meadowdale Beach Road and booked into jail.
