Edmonds PD Looking for Burglary Suspect; Westgate Locked Down

The police are getting help from a Lynnwood K-9 unit.

Today at 11:47 a.m., Edmonds Police officers were dispatched to a residential burglary in the 22500 block of 98th Ave. W.

The homeowner called police after finding a burglar inside her home. According to Sgt. Mike Blackburn, the white male suspect, about 30 years old, entered the home through a back door.

The burglar ran out the same back door when confronted by the homeowner.

Edmonds Police, with assistance from a Lynnwood Police K-9 unit, are currently searching for the burglar.

As a precautionary measure, , at 9601 220th St. SW, has been placed in lockdown.
