Edmonds Home Invasion Suspect Who Went on Crime Spree Takes Plea Agreement

In Oregon, Michael Ken Wylie, 48, pleaded guilty in a deal with prosecutors to unauthorized use of a weapon. More charges are possible, including those for an alleged Edmonds home invasion burglary.

A man accused of a crime spree in Washington and Oregon that included a home invasion burglary in Edmonds was sentenced Monday in Salem, OR, to five years in prison, according to an Associated Press story on the San Francisco Chronicle website.

Michael Ken Wylie, 48, pleaded guilty in a deal with prosecutors to unauthorized use of a weapon.

The Statesman Journal is reporting that Wylie is likely to face more charges including charges of burglary and robbery by Edmonds Police. Wylie is the suspect in the home invasion robbery of an Edmonds woman on April 23.

After the incident in Edmonds, Wylie was involved in a pursuit with Port of Seattle Police and subsequently traveled to the Tigard, OR, area in a stolen car, then south to Salem. 

Wylie then allegedly pulled a gun on Marion County Sheriff’s deputies who were investigating a report of a person sleeping in a vehicle on a highway overpass in South Salem Friday morning, April 26.
