Could Lynnwood Bank Robbery Be Related to the One in Edmonds?

The Bank of Washington robbed Thursday morning.

Lynnwood Police are investigating a bank robbery Thursday morning at The Bank of Washington in Lynnwood.

Lynnwood Police are working closely with other agencies to see if this robbery is connected with any other recent bank robberies in the Puget Sound area, on April 13.

Spokeswoman Shannon Sessions says that a man entered The Bank of Washington—started in 1996 and originally known as The Bank of Edmonds—at 5901 196th St. SW in Lynnwood, just after 10 a.m. He demanded money, then fled the building with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The man is described as a tall, slender, white, middle-aged man with no facial hair.

He was wearing a yellow windbreaker with logos down the side of the arms, black pants and a black-brimmed rain hat.
