Burglarized While at Their Wedding: Edmonds Police Blotter

The following information is compiled from Edmonds Police logs June 28-July 7, 2013.

Following are some of the crimes reported and incidents handled by Edmonds police recently:

July 7

11:56 p.m., 20300 block of 81 AVE W, Victims return from their wedding to find home broken into with numerous items missing.

9:39 a.m., 8200 Talbot Rd, Dead animals found on property of rental home.

July 6

5:27 p.m., 23500 block Hwy. 99, Debit card stolen from hidden wallet with $500 withdrawn from associated account shortly thereafter.

12:14 p.m., 7800 block 173 ST SW, Male is disorderly and threatens his neighbors during ongoing neighborhood dispute.

9:45 a.m., 9521 240 ST SW, Edmonds School District security monitor reported three broken windows at Woodway Elementary.

July 5

1 a.m., 21601 76 AVE W, Three males show up at Swedish, serious injuries to face.

11:09 p.m., 8500 200 ST SW, Two females were found on the roof of Maplewood Coop School.

7:32 p.m., 91 Main St, Male arrested for damaging window of police car.

12:14 p.m., 828 Caspers ST, Vehicle reportedly prowled while parked in parking lot of Edmonds Methodist Church during the day.

July 4

2:23 a.m., 8600 block 196 ST SW, Adult female taken voluntarily to Swedish Hospital Edmonds after admitting to using drugs and believing roommates are trying to kill her.

July 3

5:33 p.m., 22700 block 76 AVE W, A friend of the victim’s entered her unlocked unit without knocking. He was told to leave, which he did. He then walked back in and began yelling at the victim. She then punched him and he left. 

July 2

5:19 a.m., 7200 block 213 PL SW, Male arrested for possession of methamphetamine. Arrestee tried to kick out window of patrol vehicle and was placed in four point restraints while being transported to jail.

3:34 p.m., 100 block 4th Ave S, Unknown persons stole canoe kept in yard overnight.

7:41 a.m., 20808 72 AVE W, Residential fire at Turnberry Lane Condominiums 

6:56 p.m., 21910 HWY 99, A subject unknowingly passed a counterfeit bill he had obtained earlier from a fast food restaurant.

July 1

10:21 p.m., 22200 block HWY 99, Adult female arrested for assault 2, domestic violence. 

8:21 p.m., 71 Main St, DUI accident on Washington State Ferry

7:24 p.m., 71 Main St, Male arrested for physical control of vehicle under the influence. Nine and 3-year-old children in vehicle.

June 29

9:28 p.m., 23600 block Hwy 99, male arrested for theft and misdemeanor warrants. Controlled substance and paraphernalia discovered during search. Further investigation reveals this to be the fourth incident of retail theft in the past 180 days. Suspect booked for possession of controlled substance and retail theft with extenuating circumstances.

June 28

7:21 a.m., 23500 74 Ave W, water trampoline and launcher stolen.
