Attempted Burglary While Children Were Home: Edmonds Police Blotter

The following information is compiled from Edmonds Police logs June 20-26, 2013.

From Edmonds police:

June 26

7:27 p.m., 6900 Meadowdale Beach Road, ongoing domestic and civil issues, male possibly having mental issues and becoming dangerous.

11:46 a.m., 23600 Hwy. 99,  Adult female entered safeway, selected a large amount of alcohol in a shopping basket and left the store. Suspect was confronted by a Safeway store employee who managed to pull the shopping basket away and recover all stolen items. Suspect on video.

11:31 a.m., 200 block 5 Ave S., disorderly in the bank. Accounts were closed and person was issued criminal trespass warning.

9:21 a.m., 23700 104 Ave. W., person was parking in a city park and was hit by a large falling tree branch. No injuries.

June 24

7:55 p.m., 7900 block 218 St SW, residential burglary, possibly related to earlier reported disturbance with female fleeing from male by jumping over a fence.

8:45 p.m., 21600 Hwy 99, assist to Lynnwood PD with a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision. 

5:33 p.m., 8100 block 238 St. SW, adult male arrested for violating a protection/no contact order. After being arrested and placed into the backseat of the patrol car, he kicked at and damaged the rear passenger window.

June 22

9:49 p.m., 9100 228 St. SW, adult male drove into three parked cars and fled the scene. Driver refused to stop for police and was finally stopped and arrested for those violations and for DUI.

4:30 p.m., 10700 226 St SW, 3-year-old found unconscious in pool. CPR administered by mother and child transported by medic unit to Harborview.

5:30 a.m., 21500 block 84 Ave W, 20-year-old male passed out on side of the road, cited for minor consumption of alcohol.

June 21

1:44 p.m., 1000 block Walnut Street, Residential burglary near Yost Park

June 20

12:45 p.m., 21600 block 80 Ave W, attempted burglary at residence while children were home. Suspect fled upon seeing child.
