Argument Disturbs a Peaceful Evening Along the Waterfront in Edmonds

Confrontation leads to a fight. One man arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.

On Monday at 6:48 p.m., Edmonds Police officers responded to a reported disturbance in the 600 block of Admiral Way.

A 23-year-old Edmonds man, accompanied by a 38-year-old Edmonds man and a 51-year-old Tacoma man, drove to Edmonds to confront a 20-year-old Mountlake Terrace man about money allegedly owed, said Sgt. Mike Blackburn.

The Mountlake Terrace man was accompanied by a 31-year-old Seattle man.

The disagreement was over $180, said Blackburn. An argument developed between the younger Edmonds man and the Mountlake Terrace man, which escalated into a fight between the two.

Blackburn said the suspects fled when they heard police sirens approaching, but all were located within minutes. None of the participants wanted to pursue criminal charges.

However, the 38-year-old Edmonds man was wanted on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant and was arrested.
