Walgreens

I work at the local PCC and I was coming to work last Friday. There was a bulldozer cutting down all the trees that were along Edmonds Way from where the construction is going on untill the PCC property. I was appalled to see this. I asked the guys doing all of this and their response was "This is what Walgreens wanted,Walgreens is going to repave this area and add new trees" Why would you bring down perfectly healthy good trees. Those trees were beautiful and had a great way of welcoming everyone to our downtown area.
Shame on Walgreens for deciding to take down perfectly good trees. Not so sure they are going to be a good addition to our community. Does anyone else feel this way?
