Longtime Edmonds Restaurant Owner Dorothy Zenk Dies

Mrs. Zenk ran the Sail Inn Restaurant, now home to Rory's.

Dorothy Lucille Zenk, the owner and operator of the former Sail Inn Tavern in Edmonds, died on Jan. 3, 2012, at age 90.

Sail Inn Tavern, which was located at 105 Main Street and Sunset Avenue, is now home to . According to The Seattle Times, Sail Inn Tavern was previously owned by Carrie Louise Kinsey and her husband, Austin "Bud" Kinsey, during the World War II years.

Mrs. Zenks was born April 1, 1921, to Dave and Rosie Staley in Froid, MT. She is survived by her sons, Dean (Rochelle) and Frank (Lynn); grandchildren Shelly, Shannon, Mark, Kiley and Kacie; and many great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Zenks was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Zenk, and son, Herbert Zenk, Jr.
