Meet the Press/Industry Night- Seattle Fashion Week

Tuesday night was the Meet the Press & Industry Night for Seattle Fashion Week at Copper Cart Cafe off Bell St. in Seattle.

Tuesday night was the Meet the Press & Industry Night for Seattle Fashion Week at Copper Cart Cafe off Bell St. in Seattle.  Doors opened to the press and media at 7:00pm and then to the public at 9:30pm for a chance to network with regional designers, retailers,  models, hair stylists, bloggers, and everyone in between.

I arrived a little later than anticipated and fear that I may have missed the majority of the designers that were there earlier, but the ones I did meet were fantastic.  I also had the opportunity to meet the fabulous ladies that run Cabarel Edwards Management (CEM) - Maile and Kassie.  Nothing better than two fiery women that rock at what they do, I must commend them for putting on an awesome event and can't wait to work with them on future endeavours. We (Ombu Salon+Spa) also donated some amazing gifts for CEM to put in their swag bags, which will be handed out on the finale night.  Which happens to be tonight at King Cat Theatre- doors open at 7pm.  The Copper Cart Cafe - MODA room was decked out with a red carpet and a Japanese crew that were streaming live the whole evening.

The amazing Seattle sensation Jennifer Newberry was at the Meet the Press on Tuesday night, which Maile kindly introduced me. She is not only beautiful but easy and fun to talk too.  We chatted about everything from her album release party this Sunday Night at Citrus to how much we both love the movie The Notebook.  Her hair is fabulous and her personality is rockin' and I cannot wait to see her on Sunday again, she will be celebrating her "dirty thirty" as she put it so eloquently as well as her album release party on Sunday night. So it will definitely be a celebration you will not want to miss.

Jordan Klein the local eastsider turned designer was also there that evening, we chatted about his men's wear line, what he does for workouts (he surfs 5 times a week!), and what's next for him in the future.  I got to peak at some of his clothes that was showcased last night at the Men's Fashion Show- amazing! For someone who is only 24 years old he has major talent and I am very excited to see what the future holds for him.  Maybe he will add professional surfer to his resume?  The Finerie - Built for Man was also there along with Alexandra Parry, but I did not have the pleasure of running into them- everytime I tried someone else was interviewing them!

Here are some upcoming events for Seattle Fashion Week:
