Stock Up: Floretum Club Plant Sale Saturday at PCC in Edmonds

Proceeds from the annual event, started in 1923, go to scholarships.

Now's the time to be thinking about plants. And Saturday's a big day for the Edmonds Floretum Garden Club, which holds its annual plant sale from 9 a.m. to noon at the parking lot, 100th Avenue West and Edmonds Way in Westgate.

There will be a variety of annuals and perennials, small trees, shrubs and native plants. Garden-related gift items suitable for Mother’s Day will also be available in the Garden Boutique area.

Proceeds will benefit the club’s scholarship fund, awarded yearly to local college horticulture students.

The plant sale has been an annual event of the Edmonds Floretum Garden Club since 1923. It is always held the first weekend in May, as members grow the plants and make them available at reasonable prices.
