  • Why Go: It's the closing weekend for the Driftwood Players production of The King & I. Catch this great production before it's too late.

  • Why Go: Swedish/Edmonds is holding a two-day open house to provide local student groups and the general public with the opportunity to operate the region’s newest da Vinci robot-assisted surgical system. Visitors will have the chance to sit at the operating console, steer the robotic arms and fully experience what it feels like to perform robotic surgery. Swedish surgeons and medical staff will be on hand to give demonstrations and provide information about the real world application of robotics in the field of medicine.

  • Why Go: Join the Olympic Ballet Theatre this weekend for a full-length traditional production of The Nutcracker. The production brings to the stage a growing Christmas Tree, Booming Canon, Mother Ginger and her Buffoons.

  • Where/When: 6:30 p.m. Saturday at ,. Lake Forest Park.
  • Why Go: Join author Aaron Baggenstos as he talks about his new book,  Wildlife of Lake Washington. The book features 96 pages of stunning images from Lake Washington. From leaping fish to hunting eagles and curious otters, Baggenstos captures the beauty of our local wildlife.

  • Where/When: 1-2 p.m. and 3:30-4:30 p.m. on Sunday at Third Place Commons, Lake Forest Park.
  • Why Go: Get in the holiday spirit at the Commons. From 1-2 p.m. join actor and Dickens scholar Jake Esau as he offers a dramatic reading of the holiday classic, A Christmas Carol. This is your chance to watch one man be Tiny Tim, Scrooge, and a whole assortment of ghosts. Then, from 3:30-4:30 p.m., kids from the Lake Forest Park Church invites you to Christmas Hang Ups. Experience the real meaning of Christmas as seen from the perspective of the ornaments on the Watson family tree. This musical is performed by young actors, age 6 to 14.
