Latest Hazel Miller Foundation Grants Focus on Youth Activities and Events

Edmonds Public Schools Foundation, Cascade Bicycle Club Education Foundation and Edmonds Jazz Connection all benefit.

The Hazel Miller Foundation, which is dedicated to serving the citizens of Edmonds and south Snohomish County through programs and projects that serve the public's benefit, has announced it lastest round of giving.

The foundation provided grants for public education assistance to the Edmonds Public Schools Foundation; for youth activities through the Cascade Bicycle Club Education Foundation; and for Rotary Club of Edmonds, Daybreakers Foundation for another year of Edmonds Jazz Connection.

Edmonds Public Schools Foundation has received $25,000 for the Hazel Miller Back to School Basics Program, which will connect teachers needing additional support for classroom supplies and activities with the funding they need to give their students the best academic opportunities.

Cascade Bicycle Club Education Foundation has received $7,000 to support the Basics of Bicycling youth programs teaching at-school, on-bike safety lessons to promote individual health and recreation to Edmonds Public School students.

Rotary Club of Edmonds, Daybreakers Foundation has received a repeat grant of $5,000 to support Edmonds Jazz Connection. Edmonds Jazz Connection is a free public event featuring musicians from the Edmonds School District and Edmonds Community College held annually during Memorial Day Weekend in downtown Edmonds.
