State Board of Education postpones vote on weakening School Achievement Index

As I reported yesterday, the State Board of Education has postponed its vote to weaken Washington’s School Achievement Index.  The fifteen-member Board, led by Chairman Jeff Vincent, has decided to take up less controversial topics during its meeting tomorrow in Olympia. Click here to see the meeting agenda.

I will continue to track the quality of the information the State Board of Education provides to parents and to the public.  Like our legislative oversight project, Washingtonvotes.org, I will be posting the roll call vote of the State Board of Education at their next meeting, in order to keep my readers informed about how the Board members are managing the information parents receive about local schools.
