Most government offices will be closed Monday, May 27, for the holiday.

Memorial Day is Monday, May 27; here is a list of what’s open and what government offices are closed. If you're planning to travel, check out the Washington State Department of Transportation web pages to plan your route. You can expect heavy traffic on Friday and Monday particularly along I-90 Snoqualmie Pass, US 2 Stevens Pass, Interstate 5 near the U.S./Canadian border and I-5 between Olympia and Tacoma.

Traffic is being routed around the closure and you can find the detour route on the website. If you need to travel between Mount Vernon and Burlington you should expect long delays and allow extra time to reach your destination.
