Bike to Work Rolls in to Edmonds Friday

Organizers will host support stations around the Puget Sound region from 6 to 9 a.m. Participating Starbucks locations will also offer a free 12-ounce drink to riders Friday.

Cascade Bicycle Club's annual Bike to Work Day is just a day away, and organizers are gearing up for another big turnout.

In Edmonds, a commuter station will be open from 6 to 9 a.m. Friday at the ferry terminal downtown. There will be another in Lynnwood on the Interurban Trail at 68th Ave W. (Click here for a map of all locations.)

Most stations will offer free snacks, mechanical support and raffle prizes. Visit the Cascade Bicycle Club website for more details.

After the "work" part of Bike to Work Day is complete, cyclists are invited to celebrate at the official after-party in downtown Seattle. Festivities will kick off at 4:30 p.m. at Velo Bike Shop at 6th and Blanchard.
