Community Corner

2nd Annual Statewide Shelter Open House Event, hosted by Pawsitive Alliance

Take a field trip to your own community animal shelter on

Saturday, October 5, 2013 during Pawsitive Alliance’s 2nd annual

Statewide Shelter Open House Event!

This event, organized by Pawsitive Alliance, highlights the
work that Washington animal shelters are doing on behalf of animals in
need.

Pawsitive Alliance works with
animal shelters across the state in order to promote and help them grow their
adopter, donor, and volunteer bases—and to raise awareness of the good work
that they do on a daily basis for animals in need!

Local
shelters will be opening up their doors to host an Open House and bring

community members in as honored guests—and the animals will cheer as they are
adopted out to their forever homes.

Visit the Pawsitive Alliance website (www.pawsitivealliance.org) for a

list of all the participating shelters across Washington State and see what fun activities they have planned!

About Pawsitive Alliance:

Pawsitive Alliance is a
nonprofit organization working to end the euthanasia of adoptable dogs and cats in Washington
State by increasing adoptions, supporting spay and neuter programs, and
improving pet retention.  As part of that
mission, they host large multi-shelter dog and cat Adoption Events throughout
the year across the State. Their Adoption Events support animal agencies by bringing
additional attention, exposure, and opportunities for adoption to homeless dogs
and cats. To date, Pawsitive Alliance has helped more than 3,900 dogs and cats
find their new home!
