The Edmonds Community College student activities board presents “Edmonds Unplugged,” an acoustic concert featuring Cas Haley, 8 p.m., Fri., April 19, in the college’s Black Box Theatre—20000 68th Ave. W, Lynnwood.

Tickets — $10 for Edmonds CC students (with a current EdPass) and $12 for general public — are on sale now at 425.640.1448, www.BlackBoxEdCC.org, or at the box office on campus in Mukilteo Hall. This show is open to the public and appropriate for all ages.

Haley will take the stage in an intense and highly personal acoustic performance with his reggae, soul, and bluesy style vocals and acoustic rhythm guitar.

Raised by musician parents, Haley grew up surrounded by the sounds of blues and '60s/'70s rock. He said he became serious about the guitar at age 12 and was “taught by the tribe” of musicians passing through his house.

After a period of heavy immersion in the sounds of the ska, punk, and skateboard culture, Haley was blown away by the classic reggae-pop bands, such UB40 and Sublime, and his mature style began to take shape. The Bob Marley records his mother would play at home made a profound impression.

Haley was a finalist on the nationwide television show, “America’s Got Talent,” which helped launch his career as a high profile artist. With a loyal fan base and thousands of records sold, Haley is expected to explode in the top 100 charts in the near future. Don’t miss the chance to watch this incredible performer and star in the making.

Advanced ticket purchases are strongly recommended. Seating is limited and the show is anticipated to sell out.
