Want to Oversee Protection and Planting of New Trees in Edmonds?
City of Edmonds' Tree Board now taking applications for three members.
Like trees?
The City of Edmonds is seeking three residents interested in participating on the Citizen’s Tree Board. Board members must live with Edmonds city limits as the board seeks to include citizens from throughout the city who represent different watersheds and neighborhoods.
In addition, those with professional or hobbyist interest and experience in urban forestry, horticulture and habitat enviroscaping are preferred. These may include arborists, botanists, horticulturists, native plant experts, master gardeners and wildlife experts.

The board's stated mission: "The City of Edmonds Tree Board will engage, encourage and educate both the city government and residents to protect our current canopy resource and plant new trees appropriately for the long term benefit of our community."
Board members are appointed for four-year terms, and the newly appointed members will complete the terms of the three resigning members.) The Board normally meets the first Thursday of the month.
