Take Your Best Shot, But Take It Soon: Photo Contest Deadline Extended

Photographers are invited to share what they think captures the essence of Edmonds.

The deadline for the city of Edmonds' "Essentially Edmonds" photo contest has been extended to Oct. 4.

Amateur and professional photographers can participate in the photo competition presented by the City of Edmonds Arts Commission and sponsored by the Edmonds Arts Festival Foundation.

Photographers are invited to share their images of what they believe captures the essence of Edmonds—the places and people that make Edmonds a special community to live in and visit.

Entries will be exhibited at a public reception at ArtWorks (201 Second Ave. S) on Oct. 20 during the Third Thursday ArtWalk. Both winning and honorable-mention selections will be featured on the new City of Edmonds website.

The photos will also be added to the Edmonds Museum photo archives. Edmonds Arts Festival Foundation-sponsored awards include $200 for first place and $100 for second. Two winners will get $50 for honorable mention.
