Spring Snow: Waste Management Says Friday Pickup Could Be Late

Snow and ice on roadways in some areas could mean a delay of two hours; the company provides service to a limited part of the Edmonds area.

Western Washington residents awoke to varying levels of spring snow, and Waste Management is advising those with Friday pickup that its trucks could be a little late.Β 

In some areas -- Woodinville, for example, received a significant layer of snow -- waste collection could be delayed by two hours, said Robin Freedman, a Waste Management spokeswoman.

Nevertheless, the company does expect all residential and commercial routes to be covered Friday.

The impact should be minor in the Edmonds area. According to the City of Edmonds Web site, Waste Management provides service to about 120 homes just north of Lake Ballinger.
