UPDATE: Edmonds Runner Safe After Boston Marathon Bombing: Google Launches Person Finder

Seven Edmonds residents were listed as runners in the marathon. So far, 100 people are confirmed injured and two dead after two explosions near the finish line, and a third at Boston's JFK Library.

Update: 3 p.m., Monday, April 15: As the toll of injured from explosions in Boston mounted, Google launched its person finder Monday to help people share information about loved ones after two explosions rocked the finish line of the Boston Marathon today, and a third shortly thereafter at the JFK Library.

The Person Finder has options to add information about yourself if you are in Boston, or to search for someone you haven't yet heard from.

Among the three incidents, authorities have confirmed at least 100 people injured and two dead.

UPDATE, April 15, 2:10 p.m.: Edmonds runner Adam Cornell, 40, had just finished his first Boston Marathon and was stretching in his hotel room Monday when he heard sirens after at least two explosions near the finish line, he told The Seattle Times.

“This is stunningly horrible,” he said by phone. “This shouldn’t happen. This was 27,000 people pursuing their passion, just trying to enjoy their sport. They weren’t hurting anybody.”

Cornell finished some 50 minutes before the explosion and his wife walking to meet him passed by the finish area a half-hour later.

“It’s one of those things – it could have been me. It could have been my wife,” he told the Times from his hotel room. “I’m looking out the window right now at a line of ambulances two blocks long just waiting to get into the medical tent set up across from the finish line.

“This is a horrible day for sports, for the world,” he said.
