Snow Returns to Edmonds; Major Storm Could Arrive Late Tuesday Night

More snow, up to 3 to 5 inches, is forecast.

A overnight dusting of snow in Edmonds on the Martin Luther King Day holiday gave kids off from school a chance to play in the white stuff, while those lucky enough to have the day off could be contented just to watch the winter wonderland.

The City of Edmonds Public Works department has been applying anti-ice due to freezing overnight temps.

The National Weather Service predicts more snow for today. It looks like it could get worse. One to 2 inches is forecast for Tuesday, while 3 to 5 inches forecast for Wednesday. In fact, the NWS says there remains a potential for a major winter storm to hit Puget Sound lowlands late Tuesday night through Wednesday night.
