Port of Edmonds Approves $1,000 for School District Music Programs

The stipend is in appreciation of students' participation in the inaugural Sea Jazz summer concert series.

The Port of Edmonds this week approved a $1,000 stipend to the Edmonds School District's music program in appreciation of the district's student participation in the Port's inaugural season of Sea Jazz, held Sunday afternoons and Wednesday evenings during the summer.

The series featured small combos from Edmonds' award-winning high school music programs performing in the marina plaza, a grassy area by Anthony's Home Port.

The concert series was sponsored by the Port of Edmonds and co-sponsored by the Edmonds Daybreakers Rotary and the Edmonds Jazz Connection.
