11 a.m.: Meet at the library to make a fairy wand, an elf hat or put whatever finishing touch is needed on costumes. Library staff will share a fairy story, practice a fairy song and organize for the parade.

Noon: Parade of Fairy and Elves leaves Edmonds Library, walks down Main Street and ends at the Edmonds Museum Garden Market. Its a simple walk, with musical accompaniment, says Edith I. Farrar, children's librarian.

"This event has become a lovely way to welcome back spring, celebrate Mother’s Day and the return of the farmers market," says Farrar.
