Native Plants for the Home Garden Subject of Floretum Club Meeting

The guest speaker is Rita Moore of the Washington Native Plant Society.

Rita Moore, an educator and advocate for establishing native plantings in an urban environment, is the guest speaker at Floretum Garden Club's fourth in a series of Saturday workshops.

Moore, a member of the Washington Native Plant Society and , will speak and show slides about native plants for the home garden on Feb. 11 from 10 a.m. to noon.

"Her knowledge about the preservation and creation of natural habitats will provide ideas for incorporating more native plants in the home garden," said Joyce Hudemann, a publicist for the Edmonds garden club. "This informative workshop comes just time for the home gardener to make plans and list must haves for upcoming winter/spring plant sales."

Moore and the club willl gather in the meeting room of Coldwell Banker Bain, 108 Fifth Ave. S. All are welcome. A donation of $2 is suggested.
