It's Too Cold Even for 'The Locals,' But Could Get Worse With Possible Snow

The first rain/snow mix could be begin late Saturday night.

Even The Locals are feeling the chill, which is only going to get worse with weather forecasts calling for the chance of snow.

For the past week, the little girl who is part of Georgia Gerber's statue on the waterfront has sported a pink scarf. A passerby noted that the scarf has remained in place, even though accessories that occasionally adorn Richard Beyer's Seeing Whales, just south of The Locals by the fishing pier, are often taken quickly.

Someone may want to bring the little girl a coat.

The National Weather Service says that rain and snow showers are likely for Puget Sound after 10 p.m. on Saturday, with the snow level set at 300 feet. On Sunday, the level drops to 200 feet, with new snow accumulation of half an inch possible.

According to AccuWeather.com, the forecast calls for rain and snow showers on Sunday, with a low of 25. It then says rain and snow is possible Tuesday. AccuWeather's extended forecast for Edmonds is even more daunting, with a snow and rain mix on Jan. 21, with just plain snow on Jan. 22, which is a Sunday.
