  • Where/When: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Fri, May 20 at .
  • Why Go: Browse the large selection of natives, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, perennials and more at this garden and plant sale. A selection of birdhouses will also be available. Have gardening questions? Be sure to stop by the information table and see Judy Griesl, a local Master Gardener and a member of Diggin' Shoreline. 
  • Pricing: Admission is free. Money raised from the sale will support efforts to provide food to the local food bank.

  • Where/When: The exhibit runs Monday through Saturday at the Anderson Center Art Gallery in Edmonds.
  • Why Go: Have you ever watched an intoxicating film, listened to a favorite piece of music or visited an art exhibit and then experienced a creative surge? The artists of Edmonds “Sculptors Workshop” know this feeling! These 20 plus artists have been actively at work, creating original pieces inspired by Picasso's Blue Period, African Tribal body art, Gaudi's architecture, Georgia O’Keefe, Gustav Klimt and others. Come tour the artists’ journey and witness the results of this inspirational process!
  • Price: Tickets range form $8 - $15.

  • Why Go: Rock Out ALS is boasting a line up of local star studded rare performances (view our for the full band line-up). Just like the retro MTV series, Unplugged expect an exciting and intimate environment all rolled into one. Not really sure what to expect? Watch some of the many videos posted the Rock Out ALS Facebook page to get an idea of what you're in for.
  • Pricing: Tickets are $10. Proceeds will help to raise awareness of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), which is better known as Lou Gehrig's Disease.

  • Why Go: Join author Rosanne Parry for a reading from her newest novel, Second Fiddle. This fast-paced, coming-of-age story is filled with adventure, music, friendship, and intrigue. There will even be local fiddle players on hand to set the mood for this special Sunday afternoon at Third Place Books.

  • Where/When: 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. Sun, May 22 at the .
  • Why Go: Come help mark the Pink Polka Dots Guild's fifth anniversary with this community Art Sale and Exhibition. Founded in 2006 after the death of a Lake Forest Park sixth grader from a brain tumor, the Pink Polka Dots have raised over $330,000 for pediatric brain cancer research. Come celebrate their successes and contribute to their future as you peruse artwork from a wide range of artists. From PPD guild members' photography and sketches to the graciously donated works of professional and well-known artists.
  • Pricing: Admission is free.

  • Where/When: 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Sat, May 21 at .
  • Why Go: Join the City of Edmonds for this fun family event in Yost Park and learn why they say "Puget Sound Starts Here"! Activities will include guided nature walks, nature crafts, and storytelling by Jeff Hogan from "Killer Whale Tales". Exhibits and information will be available about Puget Sound stewardship, fish and wildlife, backyard habitat, recycling, energy and water conservation, and other topics. There will be a native plant sale, and expert planting advice! 
  • Pricing: Admission is free.

  • Where/When: Sun, May 22 at .
  • Why Go: If you've ever aspired for a career on the stage, this might just be the perfect way to get your feet wet. The Driftwood Players are casting several parts for men and women of all ages for their Festival of Shorts in July. So get that singing voice ready, study those monologues and break a leg.
