  • Why Go: Join Rick Steves and his merry band of tour guides for a day filled with free one-hour slide show presentations on Europe's top tour destinations for 2012. You'll get a vivid preview of where each of the tours take you, and meet expert guides.
  • Cost: Free, but space is limited and registration is required.

  • Where/When: 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday at ' Wade James Theater.
  • Why Go: Join the Driftwood Players this weekend for thier newest production, The Peregrine Sonata. This eye-opening play is from a local playwright.
  • Tickets: $12.

  • Why Go: This will be a panel discussion with some of our Edmonds Floretum Garden Club's Master Gardeners offering tips on how you can mitigate the thugs in your garden. They will field your questions and do their best to help you develop a plan that you can use in your situation.
  • Cost: $2 donation.

  • Why Go: Join horticultural expert Dan Vorhis as he leads a fruit-tree workshop. You'll learn everything from tree pruning and training to how to deal with pests. After the workshop, Vorhis will be availible answer your specific fruit-related questions.

  • Why Go: Come out to Shorecrest this Saturday and find some treasures at this huge indoor rummage sale. Proceeds from the sale will help pay for overnight college tours.
  • Cost: Free.

  • Where/When: 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday at in Lake Forest Park.
  • Why Go: Come out to the Commons this Saturday as members of Northwest Polymer Clay Guild invite you to watch them in action and learn about this versatile, colorful medium.
