  • Where/When: Fri, Aug 5 at the playfield. Movie starts at dusk.
  • Head over to the Frances Anderson Center this Friday night for an evening of fun under the stars. Ghostbusters will be showing on the jumbo inflatable screen. All you need to do is grab some friends, blankets, lawn chairs and the bug spray! Haven't seen Ghostbusters? You're in for a treat! Check out the film's trailer so you know what you're in for.

  • Where/When: 5 p.m. - 12 a.m. Sat, Aug 6 at .
  • Why Go: Join the the La Stella Foundation an evening of music, beer and Italian food this Saturday night at the . Tony La Stella and the Goombas will be setting the mood with their Sanatra sound while serves up all your favorite Italian dishes. Then after all the fun is over, you'll be able to sleep soundly knowing you helped support a great cause.
  • Cost: $10 minimum donation to benefit Northwest Music & Arts

 

 

  • Where/When: 12 p.m. Sat, Aug 6 at Paine Field in Everett.
  • Why Go: Looking for an alternative to the Blue Angels this weekend? You may want to check out the Flying Heritage Collection's annual Luftwaffe Day going on this Saturday at Paine Field. The day will be highlighted by the debut flight of the recently acquired German Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A-5 aircraft. This Fw 190 A-5 is the only one of its kind in the world that has been restored to its original flying condition. The public debut flight of the aircraft was originally scheduled for earlier this June, but was unable to take to the skies due to inclement weather. Weather shouldn't be a problem this time around though, so enjoy the show.
  • Cost: Free.

 

  • Where/When: 3 p.m. Sun, Aug 7 at Edmonds City Park.
  • Why Go: Looking for a way to wind down from weekend's chaos without having to spend your Sunday cooped up indoors? The City of Edmonds Arts Commission has you covered. Check out the Concerts in the Park series going on this Sunday at Edmonds City Park. This week's concert will feature The 85th Street Big Band and their foot tapping, knee slapping, classic big band sound.
  • Cost: Free.
