  • Why Go: This is your chance to to meet the artists behind the stunning pieces on display in the Faux Art Show at Gallery North. Come and enjoy some light refreshments as you mingle and view this wonderful collection.
  • Pricing: Admission is free.


  • Where/When: 7 p.m. Fri, April 8 at .
  • Why Go: If live music is what you're after this weekend, Shoreline is the place to be. Alaskan Way Viaduct will be rocking out at Laughing Ladies on Friday night. Sample a few tracks from the Alaskan Way Viaduct Myspace page to see what you're in for.

Sounders FC at Ringer's Pub & Grill

  • Where/When: Game starts at 1:00 p.m. on Sat, April 9 at Ringer's Pub & Grill in Mountlake Terrace.
  • Why Go: The Sounders take on the Chicago Fire this Saturday and Ringer's may be your best bet to escape the house and catch the game.  They have several HDTV's all over the bar so even if you don't get a great seat, you'll still have a decent view. Go Sounders!
  • Pricing: No cover. 


  • Where/When: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Sat, April 8 at the Othello Event Center in Seattle.
  • Why Go: Last week the Othello Public Market Grand Opening was unexpectedly delayed a week without notice. This time around there shouldn't be any surprises, so come out to Seattle and be the first of your friends to check out this brand new public market. The market will represent cultures from all around the world; think of it as an "International Pike Place." Looking for hard-to-find foreign spices? The Othello Public Market is probably your best bet.
  • Pricing: Admission is free


  • Where/When: 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. Sun, April 10 at .
  • Why Go: Seattle Kokon Taiko is bringing their unique Japanese-American drum performance to Third Place Commons this Sunday to help raise money for disaster relief in Japan. Not quiet sure what to expect at this performance? Here's a You Tube clip of Seattle Kokon Taiko in action at the Seattle Cherry Blossom Festival in 2009. The drumming will be followed by a traditional Japanese fisherman’s dance performed by the Shorecrest High School’s Soran Bushi team. 
  • Pricing: This event is free of charge, but donations will be gladly accepted by Peace Winds America, a disaster relief organization serving the Asia Pacific.
